Dawson Properties is a family run business specialising in letting student houses, flats and rooms in Northampton.
Rich successfully completed an MBA in Business Administration from Leicester University in 1995. While studying he let out the spare bedroom in his house to help pay the mortgage. From these small beginnings the idea of providing quality student accommodation in Northampton grew. Rich joined forces with his brother Geoff and they steadily increased the property portfolio until in 1996 Dawson Properties Ltd was formed.
Kai Dawson joined the company in 2017.
We have been building up the portfolio since then and the company has grown with the support of other members of the family. As a family business rather than a letting agent we provide a friendly but professional service to our tenants. We deal with all the administration ourselves including property viewings, contract preparations and signing, deposit insurance and accounting.
All of our properties are fully modernised and maintained by ourselves and we try to provide a high standard of service for our tenants in dealing with any repairs or issues with the tenancy.
Our properties are located within the popular student areas, which are a short walk to Northampton University Avenue Campus and the town centre. Most of our houses are in the Mounts, Abington, Barrack Road or Northampton town centre. All of our houses have been renovated and fully modernised in recent years.
Energy Efficiency - all our properties are fully double glazed, have loft insulation, condensing boilers and we provide energy saving light bulbs.
All our student properties are Accredited and/or Licensed and comply with (and in most cases far exceed) standards for provision of space and facilities to comply with local authority and national standards. Gas and electrical appliances are tested for safety annually. Our houses, flats and studios have mains interlinked smoke detection systems & emergency lighting as required by regulations.
