From being handed a paintbrush at age 4 to help paint a rental house, to spending summer holidays during school emptying a freezer full of food that had been switched off for 3 weeks, I’ve had the misfortune of doing it all.
Joking aside, I have always loved working in the family business. The variety of the workload, the ability to invest time in things I feel passionately about, and facilitating customers’ needs are all key parts of the job that I truly enjoy.
We have always focused on the long term rather than quick wins, which is why we reinvest in our houses as often as possible and don’t operate on a shoestring budget. Since we own all our properties, issues are resolved as quickly as possible and in ways that are meant to last, instead of using temporary fixes.
